As an individual enthralled by the mystery behind family trees, the results from my iGENEA DNA test have led me on an unexpected journey. What was supposed to be a simple answer to my ancestry transformed into a thrilling chase to trace the roots of my family name - Jessen.
As an ardent student of genealogy, I couldn't quell my curiosity to dig into the origins of my ancestry. My iGENEA DNA test has resulted in a rather perplexing blend of ethnology and history. Astonishingly, the Jessen that I carry proudly holds roots dense in the North Germanic region, the motherland of the Vikings. Notably, my paternal haplogroup, a figurehead in the realm of genetic study, was found to hold ties to the progenies of seafaring warriors - the Vikings. Their indelible influence on European culture and history was a revelation that left me astonished. In retrospect, I remain spellbound as waves of historiography unfold the rich Nordic ancestry entrenched in my DNA.
